New music - Radio 4

Radio 4

I just love happening across some band out of the blue who turn out to really rock.

Step up Radio 4, with overtones of The Clash, Japan, Pill, late seventies agit pop rock political military dance crossover – heh! Not to mention mixes by Adrian Sherwood and Lee Perry. They have a sense of urgency; the kind of sound that makes you really feel alive.

Whatever – they kick ass!

And they look likely to do the business live.

Nice website too, with all sorts of videos, mp3s, flyer generator and plenty of good stuff.

If you want to buy an album or two you can find plenty of tracks on iTunes or Play.com

I also got my hands on the final release in John Frusciante’s massive 6 albums in 6 months output.

Curtains is a truly fabulous record with beautiful songwriting; everyone should own it.

John is without doubt a genius, but I’ll save that for a future post!

Call yourself a muso – even I know that Johhnies band was nothing to do with tablets but was in fact Public Image Limited

yeah, but you can’t spell Johnny!

Anyway I’d have thought that having been married to me for over 10 years you’d know I’m completely thick by now!
