@media 2005 will bring together some of the world’s leading web design experts to discuss the hot topics of web standards and accessibility. Delegates will learn how to make the highest quality web sites through the use of best practice techniques amongst likeminded, forward-thinking web makers.

Well that sucks, I completely missed it. Sounded good too – check out the blog on the @media site for what you could have seen!

It’s a pity there is no sign up service for news on future events.

There really doesn’t seem to be much of a UK buzz for web standards so events like this need to be promoted more. Get the word out, and do get in touch if you went this year, or are going to 2006, it would be good to meet up with like minded web design people!

Maybe I am too anti-social and should speak to more ‘industry peers’ (hah – my wife says yes!) but I’d really like to see some more UK love going out to Web Standards design. I know you’re out there somewhere.
