Apple Corps vs Apple vs FranceOk, this has now made the Radio Four news so to put my wife out of her misery I’ll rant about it here instead of to her! So Rich, what do you think? Well, I’m glad you asked… Apple Corps should get into the 21st century. Stop stifling innovation and do something positive – you just look like a bunch of money grabbers. I simply don’t care how good the Beatles were decades ago, move on, get over it. Oh, and get a website with something on it while you’re at it. Lamers! As for the French Government’s plans, I think they have a point. I am sick, sick, sick of DRM and crappy copyright nonsense which basically comes down to the paranoia of the large media corporations. Sheesh, if they had half a clue we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. But no, they continue to live in the past, burying their heads in the sand while it just runs through their fingers. If the French pass this and it changes the face of the music/movie/whatever industry and wipes out the dinosaurs then more power to them. If their products were fairly priced and easy to buy then they might be surprised how many people buy them – they don’t even seem to learn from iTunes. Viva la France! There, nuff said. Comments... |

I was going to argue both points, but then I realised you were simply wrong and I am always right on these points (see ref. “Kate Bush”).
I imagine you agree with the American patent laws as well then. Fine upstanding people all.
Still, the more difficult DRM makes it to buy/play Kate Bush albums the better!
