Not another PSU

Plug-Socket

I have three words for you…

Proprietory. Power. Supply.

Arrrrggghh!

Can anyone tell me why there are so f*cking many different PSU’s, and so many different damn plugs on the end of them?

I mean, why? What is the problem with having an industry standard?

And virtually none have the device manufacturers name on them, just some Taiwanese third party. Of course the Top One Power goes with the Lacie backup drive, everyone knows that.

I’ve got so many now, that I’ve ended up having to fastidiously label the damn things like some OAP lest I forget.

We now wander round the house saying things like ‘Have you seen the power supply for my phone deary? I’m sure I left it on the washing machine…’

Sheesh.

That holiday worked then ;-)

But yes – I am now regretting ‘packing’ the old office but throwing all cables into a bin liner. Now finding the same problem. Ug.

Exactly. At the time of packing it wouldn’t appear to be a problem. I mean, there’s a dozen or so cables, but oh, how wrong you can be!

Anyone for letsstandardisepowersupplies.org or even letsstandardizepowersupplies.org?

No? Typical!
