beatles downloads ‘online’ soon - yawn

Good to see the music industry is in touch and actively promoting new music.

Who really cares that the Beatles back catalogue is going to be available online. What does it even mean – online?!

What are EMI and Apple Corps getting all excited about? Why would you want to buy it again – or at all? Ok, I guess the kids ‘discovering’ the Beatles for the first time will buy tracks but knowing Apple Corps and EMI it will probably be some overpriced ‘album only’ horrible DRM’d constipated crap rather than just individually priced tracks you can easily listen to where ever you like.

I think this is a perfect example of where the record/entertainement companies are – no interest whatsoever in creativity or artistry.

Talk about backwards. It’s all about the Benjamins baby.

Edit: Hang on, you can already buy them online in these lovely stores…

Oh, sorry, I forgot, EMI and the cartel don’t want you to do this – never mind eh.
